about

This album opens with my tribute to the playing of the legendary Tony Hall. I first saw Tony play in Ed Rennie’s superlatively amazing “Sound of Hohner” concert at Sidmouth Folk Week in 2008. I have shamelessly ripped off his phenomenal arrangement of this tune (featured on the LP “English Melodeon Players”) which is a masterclass on how to play the melodeon.
